Specific Injuries Experience
Beccy has significant experience working as a Case Manager in the UK, and as Case Co-ordinator in Canada. In these roles, she has worked with many people suffering from traumatic orthopaedic and multi-trauma injuries, often with psychological injuries in addition.
As a Case Co-ordinator at a rehabilitation centre, she worked with clients with a wide range of severe orthopaedic injuries, including clients who had undergone lower limb amputations, and identified opportunities for their safe discharge home and return to work.
Beccy continues to work with such clients as a Case Manager, and also regularly provides support to clients with traumatic brain injury resulting in memory problems, lack of insight awareness and cognitive impairment among other things.
Employment Profile
Beccy has worked as a Case Manager in the UK since 2011, supporting clients with a wide range of catastrophic injuries. She currently supports clients with complex orthopaedic injuries, lower limb amputations, and brain injuries. She is responsible for co-ordinating the complete package of rehabilitation, care, aids and equipment and housing requirements for her clients. This involves drawing on a multitude of other clinical professionals to support her plans. She has direct influence on the recommendation and implementation of personal care and support through both directly employed and agency care. She is a competent report writer and has experience of producing numerous Case Management reports to include costings for care and rehabilitation.
Beccy previously held a similar role as Case Co-ordinator whilst working in Canada. During her time in Canada, Beccy worked specifically with clients who sustained workplace injuries and those involved in road traffic accidents, focusing on returning them to normal home and work life.
Beccy qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2004 with a first-class degree and completed rotations before working in outpatient physiotherapy within the NHS and subsequently a variety of roles in private practice and the military.
